V.L. Schleicher Sculptor/Designer/Advocate There are a number of ribbons that run thru my Life and Art, my passion for my community, People (kids, women, family), Culture, History and Gardens. My path as an artist has pulled these ribbons together. It is a journey that has evolved over time and incorporates all of my passions - history, sculpture for public places, design of landscapes, and the love of life and nature. I create places and pieces of beauty where people, architecture, landscape and art come together and meld into one. I am an artist that takes note of people, time, place, and bring meaning to share with others. The art I create encourages contemplation, meditation, rejuvenation of the soul, energy and healing. A sculptor who produces small to large scale works of Art that hang in public, private, interior and exterior places. An observer who takes note of all that surrounds me and moves me from one passage to another. Like the saying, “I used to think… but now I…” it’s those happenings in our lives that bring the revelations to the foreground and inspire us to greater beginnings and better art.
She considers herself, "A student of life", my passion as an artist is A visual statement bringing together the process of "life" and "choice" that transcends time". Many of her works have a factual/historical meaning. Recent works of art incorporates an element of energy and healing. My work with family history has touched my art with the productions of Family Tree Art, and Family Crests that preserves the unique linage of all of us, holding our name in this particular place and time for generations to come. This is a way we can all document our History for those who come after us. These are commission pieces as all our family lineages are different. Valorie Schleicher a sculptor and owner of V.L.
