These are a group of works that focus on the past. Either in their; coloring (tones, tints, hues), their look of just being unearthed after thousands of years. Some have the clay showing thru them as if they were worn off by years of touching them, and others are broken after they are finished and put back together, aging them even more. Picts 1 The domain of the Picts was what we consider today to be Scotland. The terms "Picts" and "Pictland" were used in speaking of the inhabitants and the area up until 900, when the country began to be called "Alba." Thru Archeology it has been discovered that the inhabitants were not the Barbarian history had portrayed them to be. It is known now that they were not only warriors but a peaceful and spiritual clan. Created in 2005 Picts Raised circles were a part of their art # 10 in the Archives series #1 of the Picts series 2005 1) Picts |

Vesica
Piscis Tiles
This symbol resides on the top of a holy chalice well in Glastonbury. The Symbol of the Almond was known as the Goddess in the pre-Christian era. After the time of Christ the Church took the symbol and turned it sideways added a tail and used it as a symbol of Christ. Embedded in the story of Christ feeding the masses at the sea. This Vesica is not only sacred to Christians. It is an important symbol for many spiritual paths. The vesica piscis is a sacred geometrical symbol in which the circumference of one circle goes through the center of another identical circle. The bit in the middle is the vesica. It is the sacred geometrical figure of the last two thousand years. 2001/2003 #1 in a continuing series |
